In an economy recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, retailers are struggling to hire. A survey of more than 50 major U.S. retailers conducted by Korn Ferry found that 94% were having difficulty filling vacant roles, and convenience retailers like Wawa, Sheetz, and more have begun offering a signing bonus to new employees to sweeten the deal.

Employee programs represent a different approach to both attracting and retaining employees. Like an internal loyalty program just for staff, employee programs are designed to use rewards and surveys to keep staff happy, motivated, and loyal.
