Brand Insights and Paytronix Highlights from PXUX 2017

Brand Insights and Paytronix Highlights from PXUX 2017

With a focus on achieving “Peak Performance,” the two-day, interactive conference was largely driven by Paytronix users who shared the design, execution, and results of their high-impact marketing programs. Here are the highlights:

Emily Mallory of Forward Corporation described the ridiculous results her employee incentive program achieved for the convenience store brand’s loyalty launch. A fifth-generation owner of Forward Corporation, Emily shared how her team sparked engagement among store clerks to drive program enrollment. Contests and incentives gave the cashiers the motivation and focus needed to hit high enrollment numbers – contributing to the program’s impact on the convenience-restaurant-hotel chain.

Keith Conseco of Captain D’s explained how the seafood restaurant revitalized its brand, using loyalty data to connect with customers. The director of marketing strategy and insights at Captain D’s, Keith shared the brand’s evolution story and how it’s navigated the rollout of its loyalty program during his presentation.  “Many of the issues at Captain D’s are very similar at my company so it was relatable and helpful!” shared one attendee during the event.

Stephanie Krause and Monica Minford of HuHot Mongolian Grill told how the Paytronix platform coupled with top-level buy in helped the duo re-energized its six-year-old loyalty program. They shared the results-driven approach that impacted the brand’s business. Monica and Stephanie revealed the KPIs that matter to their business and how they proliferated that Intel throughout the organization to keep all eyes on the proverbial ball – loyalty.  Registrations, penetration, frequency, and sales were among the top KPIs presented.

James Park returned as a PXUX speaker with his new company, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, to discuss how he’s strengthened the business since arriving on the scene two years ago—grinding the data, working his lists and leveraging the Paytronix platform for a powerful impact on same-store sales.

Michael Tchong of Ubercool Innovation took the stage for this year’s keynote, motivating the audience and challenging us all to unlock our thinking to create innovation breakthroughs. Attendees learned to keep offers efficient and simple in today’s age of time compression and multitasking. Michael captivated the audience with his high-energy peek into the future and real-world examples of how technology is influencing human behavior.

Paytronix Perspective

The Paytronix product, engineering and technical teams—as well as mobile specialists and messaging gurus—also briefed attendees on how to fine tune customer experience tactics and strategies through mobile, loyalty, messaging and other tools that deliver.

The Product Roadmap: Paytronix president and co-founder Andrew Robbins gave his annual PaytroNEXT presentation, where he shared his forward-looking vision on how intelligent agents (IA) will help us all become better at what we do. He illustrated the point using his wife Lisa’s driving experience and how she has improved her vehicle’s fuel consumption based on driving tips provided by the Toyota Prius’ onboard intelligent agent.

Robbins demonstrated how data visualization tools and features make it easy for merchants to access, view, and interact with customer data – acting as their IA. He went on to demonstrate an interaction with the Amazon Alexa. “Alexa, how many gift cards did we sell yesterday,” he said. “10,230 gift cards valued at $511,500,” Alexa promptly responded.

Andrew went on to share the innovations that stemmed from last year’s PXUX which include new survey tool features, enhanced account filters for campaigns, and being able to measure the campaign impact on nearly anything to answer questions like, “how did the campaign impact fuel sales?”

Finally, Andrew unveiled a new help center for Paytronix users that includes “how-to” videos, articles, and more.

About the Event

The third annual Paytronix User Experience, PXUX 2017, took place on September 13 and 14 at the Oxford Hotel in LoDo Denver, Colorado. Marketing, Finance, and IT professionals from across the country (and several international users) helped drive a truly collaborative program with the aim of improving the guest experience.  Attendees were energized by their peers and the Paytronix team as they experienced hands-on activities, sessions, and helpful one-on-one conversations at this unique gathering of Paytronix users.

The highlights of the show once again were the guest speakers, with each presentation offering actionable insights. Breakout sessions and “ask the experts” workshops also provided opportunities for smaller group interaction.  On the first afternoon, PXUX took to the road—traveling to the famous Red Rocks historic natural amphitheater for more sessions, dinner and a party that including backstage tours, rock ‘n’ roll history, hiking and exploring.

We look forward to seeing you next year for PXUX 2018. Save the date for September 12-13, 2018 and watch for more announcements on next year’s program and venue!
