Using data to emerge as the Halloween Hero

Every year the competition is on: which house is going to give out the best stuff at Halloween? Not everyone can be the legendary one that gives out full-sized candy bars. And then there are the folks that go all out with decorations, creating a haunted experience that rivals Disney. And let’s face it, you’re not going to be the Red Sox catcher who gave out autographs when facing an empty candy bowl.

For the rest of us it comes down to the shopping aisle and a calculated decision on which treats to hand out. Or, as it is in many houses, which candies are going to end up leftover to be eaten through Thanksgiving.

Here at Paytronix we looked to the data to help us find the top sellers. We examined c-store transactions for the last year to come up with the definitive “Top 10 Candy” list for Halloween 2021. We even looked back at last October to make sure that our data matches. And it does!

Unfortunately, Three Musketeers doesn’t make the list, leaving Dustin and Dart from Stranger Things very much on the outs.
