The latest major updates and product releases you might have missed to drive faster, more profitable guest engagement
Discover what’s new from Paytronix Q2 2025 - Loyalty & Mobile
Now we’re beyond the halfway point into the new year, we at Paytronix wanted to take this moment to recap not just some of the product highlights from the past three months, but also from the first six months of the year!
Between January 1st and June 30th, our product team drafted nearly 30 iterations of release notes. Each entry ranges from debuting new products and features, to outlining bugfixes or small changes to the platform. We made it a priority to revamp the release notes and how information is shared. Each entry includes details of the changes and how they impact you!
Not every update in these notes makes it to our quarterly wrap up, so if you haven’t already, please take a look and sign up to receive the latest updates and changes!
PX Assistance
AI powered Assistants are rapidly becoming essential to operators, utilized to improve staff productivity and allow marketers to quickly produce reports or make efficient use of data to build new initiatives. In late 2024, we got ahead of the market and introduced the PX Assistant. You can read more about it here, but the Assistant is our first dive into generative AI, and one of the latest in our arsenal of AI enabled tools. If you haven’t already, give it a try – generative AI will continue to be an essential building block in the coming months as we roll out more products.

SMS-based Enrollment Verification
To combat loyalty fraud, we implemented SMS verification for registration when a guest joins your loyalty program using your website or app. When turned on, guests will need to confirm their registration using phone number for a one-time code sent via text. This powerful tool is completely optional and can be turned on or off with the help of your CSM or Support!

Bankable Points Program Suppoert in Check Service
The concept of Bankable Points isn’t new, but we took steps this year to enhance how it works with POS systems using the check service. This year we launched an update that enables POS systems to display all rewards that guests can "purchase" using their point balance from the current catalog of eligible rewards under the Reward Yourself program. This feature sets to make it easier for guests to get their rewards and take advantage of your rewards structure. The easier it is for them to keep track and spend their points the more often they are to use them and come back.

Square Payments for NextGen App
One major change to our mobile app was improving Square support as a payment processor for our mobile Online Ordering. Square is the engine that processes payments, so it was incredibly important folks who pay through Apple Pay and Google Pay were able to make seamless transactions. This change enables the most popular digital wallets to be accommodated within the Paytronix Online Ordering flow.

Campaign Based Interstitials & Deep Linking
Last wrap up we included details about the launch of Campaign based Mobile Interstitials and Deep Linking within the NextGen App. These new products aim to improve mobility and navigation within the app, and empower you to direct customers exactly where you want, whether you engage with them within or outside of your app.
Interstitials allow you to promote menu items, promotions, app features and more directly to a targeted audience by offering tailored content directly within the app experience. You can now create more relevant touchpoints that surprise and delight your customers.
Additionally, with Deep Links you can direct customers to specific menu items, pages and app locations matching the functionality of the desktop experience. Guests can now be directed to the appropriate store and menu based on location settings or past orders. If the item or category is available, the app auto-selects the store and guides users directly to the relevant page; otherwise, it prompts for store selection.

In addition to these amazing capabilities and tools, we made improvements to the platform through changes to online ordering receipt emails in the email builder, Relative Month Expiration and Synced Message Rows to provide a more complete and optimized user experience as you manage your programs.
There is a lot we’re planning to reveal in the coming months, so keep an eye out for news from us. You can do so by registering for release notes, reading our newsletters, or by keeping an eye out in the news for the latest announcements. We’re excited to bring several new tools to future-proof your program and revolutionize the guest engagement space.
