Online Ordering Catering
Catering is traditionally thought of as a seasonal trend, specifically for the holidays, however Toast’s 2024 Voice of the Restaurant Industry Survey, found that 48% of restaurant decision-makers looked to catering as a priority for 2025.
We’re happy to say that this past February we launched an enhanced catering solution that goes beyond parity with Olo’s. Leveraging over 20 different features, catered to the front end and back-end needs of each brand, we developed new functionalities that let you organize your catering program the way you need to. Built to drastically improve your operations, and back-end planning to cut down on potential errors, which can be detrimental to you and your customers—look to catering as a new way to ramp up your bottom line and create new incentives for your loyalty program.

Deep Linking
Every second counts when you’re interacting with your guests, particularly in digital or mobile environments. Unless they are particularly committed to you, a few moments of guesswork could be the difference between a placed order or a churned one.
To combat customer churn and improve mobile engagement we have released Deep Linking for Push and Pull messages. Until now, links were only able to send customers to the home page of the app. While effective, it forced guests to navigate around the app and find the offer, product or merchandise that was being shared with them. With Deep Linking, customers are sent directly to the location they need to make a purchase or get more information.
Customers with Branded Mobile Apps only need to update to the latest version to get started.

Mobile Interstitials
Interstitials are rising in popularity as a means of communication to loyal customers about new limited time offers, menu items and changes. On top of push and pull messages, which have been enhanced with Deep Linking, Interstitials offer yet another option to consider when interacting with guests.
This will be coming very soon, and will be available to brands utilizing Paytronix Branded Mobile Apps and Messaging. Interstitials offers you a high visibility option to share information. When utilized effectively, they can be massive drivers of bottom line and an efficient means of sharing information. We’ll be announcing the launch quite soon so look for our Press Release and other marketing materials, but if you are looking to understand a bit more about Interstitials before the launch ask your Paytronix representative!

Fighting Fraud
We’ve instituted two security focused updates designed to reduce the possibility of fraudulent activity.
Firstly, we’ve launched SMS enrollment verification for loyalty signups. This means that when a new member signs up, they will be sent a text or code to verify and complete their signup. Because it requires an unused verified number, it will significantly limit the opportunity for fraudulent activity and make it much more difficult for bad actors to create multiple accounts.
Additionally, we’ve launched the ability to require SMS verification for online orders after a certain distance. Similar to our delivery zone enhancements from Q4, we’ve brought the same idea to order verification. If you order a meal from a restaurant beyond a certain radius, the party placing the order will need to verify and confirm the order through SMS. This will help limit fake orders and allow you to block interactions with numbers that repeatedly make faulty orders.
