With many consumers drinking at home more than ever due to the pandemic, convenience stores have seen a significant increase in alcohol sales. Nielsen data shows that between March and July, beer was the No. 1 growth driver in c-stores, growing by $1.4 billion.

But the pandemic is driving other behavioral changes too, including an increased reliance on delivery. Boston-based alcohol delivery platform Drizly said sales increased 400% in May thanks to stay-at-home advisories, and the company announced $50 million in new funding in August.
