What does Gen Z want from C-Stores?

Currently, out of all the consumers who visit convenience stores before noon, only 11% of them are part of Generation Z.

By 2020, Generation Z is expected to account for 40% of all consumers. This generation contains tens of millions of young consumers, each of whom needs to eat breakfast every day. However, only a small percentage are currently going to C-Stores in the morning hours. 

For a generation that is consistently on the go, these young consumers are an opportune market segment that C-Stores should really be considering as 36% of all trips that Gen Z’s make are for ‘grab and go’ items.
