Feature Profile: Stored Value Redemption Profile Report

In v9.3, Paytronix released a new tool, the Stored Value Redemption Profile Report. This report was developed to meet two specific customer-defined needs: 1) the ability to estimate escheatment closer to the escheatment dates, and 2) the ability to estimate the federal income tax liability on gift card breakage. In order to run this report, you need to configure Custom Fiscal Periods. You'll find a link to configure these periods under Program Administration on the left navigation of the Merchant Home Page. Birthday Promotion Results Sparkle

A birthday promotion is a great traffic-building device to layer on to your core loyalty program. Recently, one of our clients boosted its guest visit rate by 26% for recipients of a weekly birthday email program and delivered a 47% Eat-Thru Rate. The Eat-Thru Rate indicates that nearly fifty percent of those who received the email redeemed the offer in the restaurant during their birthday month.

Birthday email messages provide a unique opportunity to deliver a relevant, one-to-one message to your guests. Using Paytronix means you have the ability to custom-design a birthday email message that engages your guests and compels them to visit more frequently. With automated email messaging, the Paytronix system will tap into your data, identify member birthdays, load a reward onto their cards, and deploy the email. The email program runs continuously throughout the year until you want to update or change it. You set it and then forget it!

What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Campaign Email Editing Training Sessions:

During March, Paytronix will be offering training sessions on how to use our new WYSIWYG email editor. This email editor has been designed to help those without HTML knowledge. With this new tool, you will be able to write emails using predetermined templates. This editor is also useful for those who do have HTML experience; join us to learn about the new instant preview mode and dynamic content features.

The training sessions are scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday, March 25th at 10 AM EST
  • Tuesday, March 30th at 3 PM EST

Paytronix Personality - Michelle Tempesta

The Paytronix team welcomes its newest team member, Michelle Tempesta. Michelle will focus on two main areas: propelling our email solution to be the best in the industry and delivering helpful content to our clients through our Loyalty Improvement Series of articles.

Michelle brings more than 15 years of database marketing experience including the use of mail and email media.  She has provided loyalty marketing services for several restaurant groups including McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Restaurants Unlimited and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.

Michelle earned a BS in Marketing from Plymouth State University. She recently earned an MBA with specializations in marketing and finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Paytronix's clients will benefit from Michelle's database marketing and loyalty knowledge.

Important Update for Our Customers
Implementing Branded MyGuestAccount.com

Paytronix now offers a second method for identifying your customized guest portal. Previously Paytronix offered URLs like http: //www.pxsweb.com/customer/home.srv?m_id=XXX where the XXX identified which merchant should be used for the style and branding.

In v9.3, Paytronix offers an additional identification method which will appear more personalized to your guest and improves our ability to isolate one merchant's guest website from another. We have secured the domain http: //www.myguestaccount.com. If your merchant name is Pizza Palace your Paytronix guest website could be identified as:

http: //pizzapalace.myguestaccount.com/customer/home.srv

This link will more closely resemble the website that the guest linked from. It is also a strategy being employed by WebEx and several large banks/credit card processors. In addition to branding benefits, this URL prefix strategy improves Paytronix ability to isolate guest websites. With the old strategy, if a guest was logged in to merchant A and without logging out goes to merchant B's website it was possible that they would see their merchant A account information which was very confusing to the guest. With the new URL prefix strategy, the sessions and cookies are unique for each prefix so this can no longer occur.

To take advantage of this change, the merchant will need to:

1. Contact Paytronix Sales to setup your prefix

2. Test the new URL references e.g., register a card and login to see account balances

3. Switch ALL of the references to Paytronix on your website
